Maryann Burcar, AA, HHP, CMT, LMT (Owner and Certified Practitioner) earned her associate degree in Applied Health, Nutrition and Kinesiology, as well as a 1000 hour Holistic Healthcare Practitioner certification. She has been studying integrative engineered bodywork techniques and homeopathy for over 15 years and has helped many people to live more productive and pain free lives.
She previously earned a BS and MS degree in electrical engineering (magnetics) and worked in the wireless and communications design industry for 21 years. During that time, she developed a chronic neck & shoulder problem that eventually got so bad that she could only turn her head about 25 degrees to either side. The medical doctors only offered to inject it full of Botox, but without addressing the root cause she knew this would not be a viable or long-term solution.
She searched everywhere for help and finally walked into an integrative medicine clinic while traveling on the East coast. The practitioner used these metal tools on her neck and shoulders and after only 4 return visits, she could turn her head to both sides with full range of motion. It was almost as if there had never been a restriction or problem there at all!
So, while still working full time in engineering, she went back to college and earned the degree and certifications that allowed her to research and develop a most effective and exclusive combination of "Engineered Bodywork" treatments. In her experience, custom combinations of these techniques bring about the most effective and long lasting results for frozen or chronic muscle function, limited range of motion due to scar tissue tightness/pain or joint problems.
